The Intrepid Force Series

The first Intrepid Force came together in the late 2060s. Led by Lancing DeFalco, a genetically engineered superman, they quickly became celebrities because of their deeds but were dogged by controversy. Twenty members of the 24-member team died on the moon in an event reporters would later call the Tranquility Bay Massacre.

Lancing DeFalco, their leader survived. He refused to let his dream die. Years later, when Gaith Corbalew, the architect of the Tranquility Bay Massacre resurfaced, DeFalco called upon his interplanetary mega-corporation to assemble and equip a second generation Intrepid Force.

The first recruit to the new team was Wendy Blake, the daughter of one of DeFalco's deceased teammates. Crippled and scarred by the Tranquility Bay Massacre and reconstructed by DeFalco's scientists and surgeons, Wendy Blake was only too happy to join the new team. When she heard that Gaith Corbalew had resurfaced, she saw a chance to settle the score.

Wendy, the child of the first Intrepid Force, was joined by Pirate the graduate student, Jared the profiler (some called him a psychic), Zapper the genetics experiment, Jaina the teenage medical doctor, Michael the bionically-enhanced martial arts expert, Hal the cyber-soldier, Tori the virtual fighter, and Ahadri the giant. They were trained in exploration, rescue work, and combat by Reverend Gene Sheppard, another haunted survivor of the original team. After a few months of training, they thought they were ready to take on anything. They were wrong.

In Intrepid Force, the new team trains aboard an orbiting space station, encounters a mysterious black-robed cult in the swamps of southern Louisiana, and battles men and machines beneath the atmospheric domes of Venus.

In Intrepid Force: Invasion, Earth is invaded by an armada of ships led by a warlord who calls himself Gogue. Trapped on their home planet, the team must find a way to make it into space to discover the secret of Gogue's defeat.
